"Didi" a 1992 song by Algerian artist Khaled. It was the lead single from the singer's eponymous album Khaled and was released in 1992. "Didi" peaked at number nine in the French Singles Chart and remained on the chart (top 50) for 20 weeks, making it the first Arabic song to chart in France.[1] It topped the singles charts in Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.[1] "Didi" later appeared on the live album 1,2,3 Soleils.
The music video was directed by Philippe Gautier.
The song has been covered in Turkish by Tarkan for his debut album Yine Sensiz, also covered in Persian by Andy for his album Laili, and in Greek as Giorgos Alkaios's debut single "Ti Ti". In the 1990s it was also covered in Albanian as "Ti më bën xheloz" by the Band Ilirët. It was also covered in September 2004 by Tatiana Parez who made a cover in Russian-language and released it as CD maxi.[2] In 2007, a cover was released as CD maxi by German-based duo Milk & Honey as an English and Arabic version. Also there was an Urdu version of the song "Babia" by Sajjad Ali. Covers in Hindi, and Serbian (by Dragana Mirkovic) have also been released.
